Account Deletion and Data Retention Policy

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

This Policy describes how you may delete your Wizcart account and how Wizcart Technologies Inc. ("Wizcart") handles the retention and deletion of your personal information. This Policy supplements the Wizcart Privacy Policy.

1) Requesting Account Deletion

1.1 How to Request

You may request deletion of your Wizcart account by:

  • using the "Delete My Account" feature in the Platform's account settings (available in-app and on web); or
  • emailing privacy@wizcart.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and including your registered name and email address.

1.2 Verification

We will verify your identity before processing a deletion request, consistent with applicable law (e.g., PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR).

1.3 Processing Timeline

  • Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days of receipt of a verified request.
  • You will receive confirmation when your account has been deleted.
  • During the processing period, your account will be deactivated and will not be visible to other users.

2) What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

2.1 Data That Is Deleted

Upon account deletion, we will delete or de-identify the following data:

  • your profile information (name, photo, bio, preferences);
  • booking history and in-app chat content;
  • ratings and reviews you have posted;
  • device identifiers and usage analytics linked to your account; and
  • any other personal information not subject to a legal retention obligation.

2.2 Data That Is Retained

Certain data must be retained even after account deletion, as required by applicable law or legitimate business needs:

2.3 Pending Obligations

Account deletion cannot be completed while any of the following are outstanding:

  • pending bookings (must be completed or cancelled);
  • unresolved disputes or chargebacks;
  • pending payouts to Service Partners; or
  • amounts owed to Wizcart (e.g., unpaid marketplace reliability fees).

We will notify you of any outstanding obligations that must be resolved before deletion can proceed.

3) Service Partner-Specific Considerations

If you are a Service Partner, account deletion will also:

  • remove your public listing and profile from the Platform;
  • cancel any future bookings (Users will be notified and offered reassignment);
  • process any final pending payouts within the standard payout cycle; and
  • retain financial and tax records as described in Section 2.2.

Your background verification records will be handled in accordance with Certn's data retention policies and applicable privacy law.

4) Your Data Rights

In addition to account deletion, you have the following rights under applicable law:

We will respond to all rights requests within 30 days (or the applicable time period under your jurisdiction's law). If we cannot comply with a request, we will provide an explanation and information about your right to appeal or lodge a complaint.

5) Third-Party Data

Wizcart may share your data with third-party service providers (e.g., Stripe, Certn). Account deletion on Wizcart does not automatically delete data held by third parties. You may need to contact those parties directly regarding their data retention and deletion practices.

6) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform.
