Cookie and Tracking Policy

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

This Cookie & Tracking Policy explains how Wizcart Technologies Inc. ("Wizcart," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tracking technologies on the Wizcart Platform (websites and mobile applications). This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy.

1) What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels (tiny images embedded in web pages), local storage, and mobile software development kits (SDKs). These technologies allow us to recognize your device, remember preferences, and understand how you interact with our Platform.

2) Types of Cookies We Use

3) Specific Technologies

3.1 First-Party Cookies

We use our own cookies to:

  • authenticate your session and keep you logged in;
  • remember your language, region, and display preferences;
  • maintain items in your shopping cart or booking flow; and
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

3.2 Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity, a session-recording and analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation, to understand how users interact with our Platform. Microsoft Clarity collects:

  • page views, clicks, scroll behavior, and navigation patterns;
  • device type, browser type, and screen resolution; and
  • session recordings (anonymized — no personal data such as passwords or payment information is captured).

This information is used solely for aggregate analytical and design-improvement purposes. Microsoft may process this data on our behalf in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Data collected through Clarity may be transferred to servers in the United States or other jurisdictions.

3.3 Stripe

Our payment processor, Stripe, uses cookies and similar technologies to process transactions, prevent fraud, and comply with financial regulations. Stripe's use of cookies is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

3.4 Analytics SDKs (Mobile)

Our mobile applications may include analytics SDKs that collect usage data (e.g., screen views, in-app events, crash logs). These SDKs collect device identifiers consistent with your mobile operating system's privacy settings.

4) Your Consent Choices

4.1 Consent Mechanism

Where required by applicable law (including Quebec Law 25 and GDPR/UK GDPR):

  • Analytics and marketing cookies will not be activated until you provide your consent through our cookie consent mechanism (banner or settings panel).
  • You may accept or decline non-essential cookie categories individually.
  • You may change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings link available in the Platform footer.

4.2 Browser and Device Settings

You can also manage cookies through your browser or device settings:

  • Web browsers: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via the privacy/settings menu. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly.
  • Mobile devices: You can limit ad tracking through your device settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
  • Microsoft Clarity opt-out: You may opt out of Microsoft Clarity's analytics tracking through your browser settings or by visiting the Microsoft Clarity opt-out page.

4.3 Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry standard for responding to DNT signals. We do not currently respond to DNT signals, but we respect your cookie preferences as set through our consent mechanism and your browser settings.

5) Data Retention for Cookies

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period (typically up to 12 months) or until you delete them.
  • Analytics data collected via cookies is retained in aggregated/de-identified form as described in our Privacy Policy.

6) Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest revision.
