Background Verification Consent

1) Purpose of Collection

I acknowledge that Wizcart Technologies Inc. ("Wizcart") engages Certn Inc. ("Certn"), an independent third-party background-screening provider, to verify the identity and credentials of prospective and existing Service Partners as part of Wizcart's marketplace trust and safety standards.

This verification is a condition of access to the Wizcart Platform and is conducted solely as a marketplace safety measure to protect Users who may receive in-person Services at their private residences or premises. This verification does not constitute employment screening, hiring, or any form of employer-employee vetting by Wizcart.

2) Scope of Information

I authorize Certn, as an independent data processor engaged by Wizcart, to collect, use, and disclose personal information strictly as necessary to conduct:

• identity verification (e.g., government-issued identification, address confirmation);
• professional or licensing credential validation;
• business-history verification; and
• criminal-record or sanctions screening, where permitted by applicable law.

3) Legal Basis and Safeguards

This verification is performed under my explicit, informed consent and in accordance with applicable privacy laws (including, as relevant, PIPEDA, applicable provincial privacy legislation, GDPR/UK GDPR, and U.S. state privacy legislation). All data will be handled securely and used solely for the foregoing purposes. Wizcart and Certn implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect my information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Where verification involves the transfer or processing of personal information outside of Canada (e.g., to Certn's servers or databases in other jurisdictions), I consent to such transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable privacy law.

4) Retention and Revocation

My personal information will be retained only for so long as reasonably required to complete and document the background-verification process and to comply with any applicable legal or regulatory retention obligations.

I may withdraw this consent at any time by written notice to Wizcart at privacy@wizcart.com, subject to Wizcart's continuing obligations under law. Withdrawal of consent will result in the suspension or termination of my access to the Wizcart Platform, as background verification is a mandatory marketplace trust and safety requirement.

5) Accuracy of Results; No Guarantee by Wizcart

I acknowledge that:

(a) Wizcart does not conduct background checks itself. All verification is performed by Certn as an independent third-party service provider. Wizcart relies entirely on the results provided by Certn and does not independently verify their accuracy, completeness, or currency.

(b) Background verification has inherent limitations, including the possibility of false positives (incorrectly flagged records), false negatives (undetected records), incomplete databases, delays in reporting, and variations in data availability across jurisdictions.

(c) Wizcart shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, or consequence arising from or related to the results of any background verification, including any inaccuracy, error, omission, or delay in the verification process.

6) Right to Dispute and Correct

If I believe that any information in my background verification report is inaccurate or incomplete, I have the right to:

• (a) request a copy of the report from Certn;
• (b) dispute any inaccurate information directly with Certn in accordance with Certn's dispute resolution procedures and applicable law; and
• (c) request that Wizcart reconsider any adverse decision based on corrected information.

I may also exercise my rights under applicable privacy legislation (including PIPEDA) to access and correct personal information held by Wizcart or Certn by contacting privacy@wizcart.com.

7) Declaration

I declare that all information supplied by me to Wizcart and Certn is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge. I acknowledge that any material misstatement or omission may result in the revocation or denial of my access to the Wizcart Platform.

I understand that this background verification is a marketplace trust and safety requirement and does not create, imply, or constitute an employment, agency, or dependent contractor relationship between me and Wizcart.
